MapleStory Classic World Discord for Nexon’s Classic World is two invites, not one. The Classic community server is https://discord.gg/osms (Maplestory Classic World, listed Unofficial, tied to r/MSClassicWorld). Official GMS staff sit on https://discord.gg/maplestory. Verified October 7, 2026.
This wiki’s Hero Join Discord button must stay on the OSMS invite (discord.gg/osms). Channel names are TBA — we will not invent hashtags. Skip eBay “beta keys,” fake nitro, and lookalike servers that reuse MapleStory in the icon. NEXON Korea Corporation / Nexon America do not sell Access in chat.

How do I join MapleStory Classic World Discord?
Use https://discord.gg/osms (vanity discord.gg/osms). The Discord directory name is Maplestory Classic World and it is marked Unofficial. Reddit r/MSClassicWorld points at the same invite. You do not need a Founder’s Package to join. You also do not unlock Founder’s Access by joining.
Accept while logged into Discord. Complete only the verification the server splash shows — never a DM that says “verify here or lose Access.” Hero Join Discord on this page is the same OSMS URL. If a blog, Steam comment, or eBay listing uses a different gg/ code, stop.
- Do01Open https://discord.gg/osms (vanity discord.gg/osms)
- Do02Confirm the splash says Maplestory Classic World and Unofficial — not a 12-person “GMS KEYS” room
- Do03Accept the invite
- Do04Ignore unsolicited DMs that ask for Nexon password, Steam guard, or NX
- Do05Keep discord.gg/maplestory bookmarked for Nexon GMS, not as a replacement for OSMS
Join before or after Maple Island
Discord will not sail you off Maple Island. After Accept, still follow how to play and the beginner guide. If you bought a pack, mailbox steps live on Founder’s Pack — chat is not a coupon field.
You can sit in OSMS during queue pops on Access day. That is the useful join order: install client, join OSMS, then log in. Do not skip the Nexon account email verify because a stranger offered a “faster launcher.”
Which invite is official GMS versus OSMS?
Official MapleStory Global Discord is https://discord.gg/maplestory, documented on Nexon’s GMS forum as the staff/community server for modern and global MapleStory notices. It is the room for Nexon community-team posts, not a promise of Classic-only channels with public names.
OSMS / Maplestory Classic World is the Classic-focused community guild. Unofficial in the directory. r/MSClassicWorld mods treat it as the party/theorycraft home. This wiki keeps Hero Join Discord on OSMS because searchers for maplestory classic world discord want Classic World, not the full GMS social graph.
| Check | OSMS (Hero) | Official GMS | Walk away |
|---|---|---|---|
| URL | discord.gg/osms | discord.gg/maplestory | Random gg/, bit.ly, “verify for key” |
| Role | Classic parties / theorycraft | Nexon GMS staff notices | eBay escrow chat |
| Official? | No — Unofficial listing | Yes — GMS Discord | “Nexon support” in DMs |
| Access | Does not grant Founder’s Access | Does not grant Founder’s Access | Paid “beta key” |
| r/MSClassicWorld | Nexon forum pointer | Key-seller subs |
Name collisions
Search also hits MapleStory Worlds (mobile), beanfun “MapleStory Classic” for TW/HK/MO, and private-server Discords. This page is Nexon MapleStory Classic World on PC/Mac. If the splash is a GMS mesos mule guild or a Worlds mobile room, you are in the wrong product even if the mushroom looks familiar.
Keep both invites. Use OSMS when you need a Victoria party. Use GMS when you need a Nexon-shaped announcement. Do not treat a screenshot of either sidebar as a channel map until names are no longer TBA.
What should I do after I join OSMS?
Mute high-volume chat until you can see whatever the live sidebar uses for announcements. Channel names are TBA. Hunt topics, not hashtags from blogs: patch cross-posts, class questions, party finder, theorycraft. Then go play. Discord is not a second client.
| Hunt (live name TBA) | Why | Do not |
|---|---|---|
| Announcement-style room | Launcher issues, Access times, Nexon links | Treat memes as patch notes |
| Party / LFG-style room | Victoria bosses, Maple Island carry | Paste account recovery codes |
| Class / theorycraft-style room | Assassin stars, cleric notes — Unverified until in-game | Import private-server numbers as launch gospel |
| Off-topic | Optional | Let it bury the Access-day post |
Mute first
Founder’s Access login days dump unread badges. Pin the announcement surface in your head, mute the rest, then log into Classic World. When someone posts a Cash Shop rotation, confirm it against Nexon copy — community recaps already argued NX duration in the unofficial Classic Discord; that is discussion, not a wiki table of prices.
Job talk belongs next to classes, assassin, and tier list. If chat swears Pirate is live, this wiki still marks Pirate not launch until Nexon lists it.
What are the Discord channel names?
TBA. The table below is the placeholder this site ships: topics only, names not invented. After you join, copy the live sidebar. When Nexon or OSMS mods publish stable names, this wiki will replace TBA — not before.
| Group | Channel name | Topic |
|---|---|---|
| Classic World (OSMS · Unofficial) | TBA | Announcements / patch cross-posts |
| Classic World (OSMS · Unofficial) | TBA | Class / party finder |
| Classic World (OSMS · Unofficial) | TBA | Theorycraft |
| Official MapleStory Global | TBA | Nexon staff / community team |
Do not memorize fake hashes
Blogs that print #founders-codes or #beta-keys for Classic World are writing Roblox muscle memory. MSCW has no coupon. Founder’s Pack mail is automatic. A channel named like a redeem box is a scam tell.
Why would Discord try to sell me a beta key?
Google autocomplete for Classic World still surfaces beta key / eBay / access code. Those queries are why this site does not build a codes page. Founder’s Access is Orange Mushroom or Zakum on Nexon’s package page, or Steam Zakum DLC. Chat cannot grant it.
Typical scam: “unused Zakum key,” “Nexon support ticket, send screenshot of inventory,” “boost mesos, need your PIN.” Close the DM. Access is account-bound to the buyer. It cannot be handed off as a string.
| Pitch | Reality |
|---|---|
| eBay MSCW key | Not Founder’s Access |
| “Official Discord sold me Snail Access” | Snail never included Access |
| Coupon in chat | Nexon: mailbox auto, no coupon |
| Nitro / login clone | Phishing |
| Mesos seller needs your Nexon password | Account theft |
What to do instead
If you already purchased, claim on Founder’s Pack after leaving Maple Island, deadline November 30, 2026 11:59 PM UTC. If you did not purchase before October 14, 2026 11:59 PM PDT, wait for Grand Launch October 21 — free login, no key.
Report key-sellers to Discord / Reddit mods. Do not argue prices in DMs. OSMS remaining Unofficial does not make a random seller “more official.”
What will Discord not do for MapleStory Classic World?
It will not install the client, toggle Classic World, or job-advance you in Perion / Ellinia / Henesys / Kerning. It will not replace leveling maps or bosses HP notes. It will not craft for you on the crafting table. It will not transfer Founder’s cosmetics to another Nexon account.
It will find a party for Mushmom or Jr. Balrog once you are on Victoria, surface downtime rumors you must still check against GMS, and argue class ranks you should treat as Unverified until you train them.
Session order that actually works
Minute 0–5: confirm OSMS invite and GMS bookmark. Minute 5–15: Nexon Launcher or Steam path on how to play. Minute 15–40: Maple Island on the beginner guide. After Lith Harbor: ask OSMS for a training map if Henesys is full — then still follow leveling. Pack owners: mailbox after the boat, not before.
If Discord is down, the game still runs. If the game is down, Discord is a rumor mill until https://discord.gg/maplestory or Nexon posts. Keep that split or you will sit in chat through a login window.
What next
Install Classic World: how to play.
First island: beginner guide.
Bought a bundle? Founder’s Pack mailbox rules.
Jobs: classes.
FAQ
Which invite does Join Discord use?
OSMS: https://discord.gg/osms. That Hero button must stay on the community invite.
Where do Classic World codes drop in Discord?
They do not. There is no promo-code box. Founder’s items auto-mail. Skip eBay keys.
What are the OSMS channel names?
TBA. Do not invent them. Use the live sidebar after you join.
Can Discord staff gift Founder’s Access?
No. Access is Orange Mushroom or Zakum on Nexon / Steam Zakum, bound to the paying Nexon account.
Should I join GMS or OSMS?
Both if you can. OSMS for Classic parties. GMS for Nexon notices. Hero Join Discord stays OSMS.
