A MapleStory Classic World tier list is community DPM, meso cost, and party value — not a Nexon ranking. NEXON Korea Corporation / Nexon America. Launch-live rows are the four 1st jobs and their 2nd jobs. Pirate, 3rd job, Night Lord, and Bowmaster stay TBA unless the live client lists them. Do not paste modern GMS 5th-job boards. Verified October 7, 2026. Job kit: classes.

Community recaps split the same 2nd jobs four ways: beginner-friendly, cheap train, funded DPM, and party. Closed-test skills and Founder’s Access footage disagree on letters. Every letter below is Unverified until you see the live skill window.

What is a MapleStory Classic World tier list?

Searchers typing maplestory classic world tier list want a job rank they can use on Founder’s Access and Grand Launch, not a private-server Big Bang chart. This wiki only ranks launch-live jobs: Beginner → Warrior, Magician, Bowman, Thief, then 2nd jobs at 30 (Fighter / Page / Spearman, Fire-Poison / Ice-Lightning / Cleric, Hunter / Crossbowman, Assassin / Bandit). Letters are community opinion from closed tests and early access recaps. They are not patch notes.

One list cannot answer four questions. A Cleric that prints mesos because Heal and Invincible cut potion spend is “S” on a cheap-train board and “not S” on a funded DPM board. An Assassin that feels safe with Lucky Seven, Drain, Haste, and Critical Throw is beginner-friendly in recaps and B on farm lists because it has no real 2nd-job mobbing. Use the split tables, then open classes for the actual line.

Community farm recaps (2nd-job, closed-test skills, Unverified): S Fighter and Ice/Lightning Wizard; A+ Cleric and Fire/Poison Wizard; A Hunter, Crossbowman, Spearman, Page; B Assassin, Bandit. A separate meso-efficiency recap puts Cleric in S, Hunter / Fighter / Page in A, Fire/Poison in B, Ice/Lightning in C, and warns Bandits about touch damage. Those two boards already disagree. That is the point of splits.

Community 2nd-job rank board — not an official Nexon list

Which jobs are beginner-friendly at launch?

Cleric and Hunter for first-week nerves

Cleric recaps keep returning to Heal, MP recovery, Invincible (physical cut), Teleport, and Holy Arrow hitting up to three targets when kills proc. Heal is not the old “grind with Heal only” tool in those same recaps — treat Heal-as-AoE as nerfed / Unverified. The beginner win is surviving Victoria without emptying the potion shop. Hunter recaps talk about first-job arrow control (hold attack, low potion use on some accounts) and 2nd-job range that can sit on a safe platform. Crossbowman is the sibling row: still ranged, often a step below Hunter on community control notes because the pierce line is picky.

Assassin comfort is not a farm crown

Assassin is the Thief 2nd job that throws stars. Recaps call it one of the safest, most mobile 2nd jobs: ranged Lucky Seven, evasion, Drain, Haste, Critical Throw (community numbers like 15% crit rate / 35% crit damage are Unverified). The same recaps put it in B for EXP because it hits one mob at a time until a later job that is not launch-live. If you want a first main that feels good on leveling maps, Assassin is a fair community pick. If you want the fastest 30–70 farm letter, it is not. Deep AP/star notes live on assassin.

Warrior is tanky, not “easy pots”

Warrior recaps: high HP and defense, melee, STR. That reads beginner-friendly until potion cost shows up. Fighter often leads farm lists because Final Attack / axe bleed / Rush / Rage show up in closed-test kits — still Unverified vs live. Spearman is called simpler than other warriors, with more reach and some Final Attack sustain, but slow weapons. Page is often grouped with Spearman on farm boards and with Fighter on meso boards. None of that is a reason to skip Warrior; it is a reason not to call melee “cheap.”

Which jobs train cheap vs funded DPM?

Cheap train (community): Cleric is the repeat S on meso-efficiency recaps — “aggressively make money,” Holy Arrow as the real mob tool after Heal’s offensive value dropped. Hunter / Fighter / Page land in A on that same recap. Ice/Lightning can sit in S on a farm-speed list and C on a meso list because Thunder costs MP. Fire/Poison sits A+ on farm boards (Fire Arrow + poison breath) and B on meso boards. Do not merge those letters.

Funded DPM (community): pay the ammo and potions, then read farm lists. Fighter and Ice/Lightning are the usual S-mobbing names. Fire/Poison is close. Assassin funded DPM is single-target: stars are a meso sink, Lucky Seven still “good damage after a nerf” in recaps, no 2nd-job AoE. Bandit Savage Blow is a dagger single-target plan with the worst attack range in some meso notes — funded does not delete touch damage. Bowman arrows are a smaller sink than stars, still not free. Magician MP pots are the tax.

There is no Hyper / 5th-job / Nodestone overlay on these rows. If a graphic shows Origin skills, V Matrix, or a 250 cap, it is modern GMS. Classic World launch is 2nd-job kits on Victoria. Community cap notes say Lv.100 — Unverified until the client.

Launch-job melee on Victoria — no 5th-job HUD

Who has party value on Victoria?

Party value is why Cleric exists on this page even when solo DPM recaps shrug. Heal and Bless are the party kit in 2nd job. Recaps also flag Fighter Rage as attack power you share. Range jobs that can hold a platform without KS-fighting the whole map are easier to party with on Henesys hunting grounds, subway, and ant layouts — that is logistics, not a hidden multiplier.

Do not write Bishop into a launch party tier. Bishop is a 3rd-job name. Priest / Bishop, Night Lord, Bowmaster, Dragon Knight, and the rest of the El Nath board are TBA for Grand Launch in most sources. A party that wants a healer at launch is looking at Cleric, not a future Bishop row copied from GMS.

Kerning City Party Quest from 21 is a party activity, not a DPM rank. Community training recaps say the PQ itself is poor EXP and the bonus stage is the reason to run it when open maps are full. That is a leveling note, not a job letter.

Why are Pirate, 3rd job, Night Lord, and Bowmaster TBA?

Pirate appears in test databases and older Maple job trees. Launch sources for MapleStory Classic World treat Pirate as not a launch job. No Buccaneer / Corsair / Cannon row belongs on a live tier list until the job instructor exists in the client.

3rd job (level 70 / El Nath in classic Maple) is not launch-live in most Nexon-facing recaps. Closed Online Test 2 let people play 3rd-job skills; those VODs are Test. Nexon notes that 3rd-job skills will be reworked before they ship. Ranking Hermit, Chief Bandit, Ranger, Sniper, Priest, Mage, Crusader, White Knight, or Dragon Knight as if they are live is mixing test footage with Grand Launch.

Night Lord and Bowmaster are 4th-job names (Hermit → Night Lord, Ranger → Bowmaster in classic trees). They are not launch-live. Do not import a GMS Night Lord / Bowmaster / Bishop DPM chart, and do not import 5th-job burst. If Nexon later lists them, this page moves the row from TBA to a dated community split — it does not silently inherit modern GMS letters.

What mistakes copy the wrong Maple?

Copying a 5th-job GMS list (V skills, Nodes, Sol Janus, origin burst). Classic World is a separate world with separate characters. Copying MapleStory Worlds mobile or Artale “classic” math. Copying beanfun MapleStory Classic (TW/HK/MO). Copying a 3rd-job COT2 rainbow as if Grand Launch included El Nath jobs.

Treating one streamer's S/A/B as patch notes. Farm-speed lists and meso-efficiency lists already conflict on Ice/Lightning and Assassin. Play the job whose potion graph you can fund. eBay “beta keys” and RMT meso shops are not a funding strategy this wiki will document.

Ranking Beginner as a meme S-tier. You can stay Beginner in classic Maple; this wiki does not treat that as a first-week DPM plan. Job instructors: Perion Warrior, Ellinia Magician, Henesys Bowman, Kerning Thief — Magician first-job level 8 vs 10 is still a source conflict (Unverified).

FAQ

Is Bishop bad in MapleStory Classic World?

Bishop is not a launch job in most sources. Community lists that rank healers low on DPM and high on party value are talking about Cleric at 2nd job. Bishop stays TBA.

What is the best job in MapleStory Classic World?

There is no Nexon best job. Community farm recaps often put Fighter and Ice/Lightning high for mobbing, Cleric high for cheap train and party. Assassin is comfort / single-target. All Unverified.

Will Classic World have 3rd or 4th job?

Launch sources usually say 3rd job is not in. Night Lord and Bowmaster are 4th-job names — TBA until Nexon lists them live.

Can I use a modern GMS tier list?

No. 5th job, Hyper, and Nodes are a different Maple. Use launch 1st/2nd jobs only.

Is Pirate in the MapleStory Classic World tier list?

No. Mark Pirate TBA unless the live client shows a Pirate instructor.
