What is the MapleStory Classic World crafting table?
A town station plus an NPC unlock quest in community notes. Six professions. Recipes Unverified — do not paste modern GMS.
MapleStory Classic World crafting and the crafting table are a Classic World system community notes treat as live-adjacent: six professions — Smithing, Weaponcrafting, Tailoring, Woodcrafting, Leatherworking, Arcforge — unlocked at NPCs beside a station. Those names are Unverified against your HUD. This page will not paste modern GMS or pre-Big Bang recipe lists. Verified October 7, 2026.
Crafting is optional Mesos and gear, not a second job. Finish how to play and a first job on classes before you fill the inventory with ores. Compare every craft to NPC sell price before you call it profit.

The crafting table (community wording; live UI label Unverified) is the station you stand at after an NPC unlock. Notes from tests: each profession has its own NPC next to the station; quests are short hunts (stumps, ores). You spend ETC drops + Mesos, get crafting EXP, and the finished item can show the crafter’s name. That is the loop. It is not the modern MapleStory profession UI, and it is not a coupon box.
Search demand for maplestory classic world crafting and crafting table is people looking for that station, not for a 2024 GMS smithing guide. If a result starts listing Maker or Meister recipes, close it. This wiki keeps the six names and the “unlock then process materials” loop. Exact windows, success rates, and bonus-stat simulators stay TBA until a live screenshot matches.
Inventory fills fast if you keep every ore “just in case.” Six professions means six junk types. Sell or process. Do not open a seventh bag because a listicle said crafting is mandatory — it is not.

Community databases and Founder’s-era notes list six directions. Spell them the way this wiki will keep them so search matches: Smithing, Weaponcrafting, Tailoring, Woodcrafting, Leatherworking, Arcforge. If your client shows a different label, the HUD wins and this table gets a note. Do not invent a seventh “Enchanting” from modern GMS.
Notes: metal work and ingots. Ingots feed other crafts and some quests. Warrior-shaped hats, gloves, boots, and a few shields appear in test writeups. Non-warriors still touch Smithing if they need ingots. Cap talk (level 10 crafts gated by character level) is Unverified — do not dump an EXP table here.
Notes: screws and physical weapons — claws, daggers, some axes, blunt, polearms. Thief line cares. Warrior cares if they actually use those types. Missing low-level dagger rows showed up in tests; that is a reminder not to assume every classic shop item has a craft.
Notes: processed cloth and thread, magician gloves/shoes, work gloves, capes. Test footage used pig ribbons, leaves, and animal fur bundles as examples — those are illustrations from a test, not a recipe you should copy as law. Fame-locked jeans appeared in one recap; treat fame gates as Unverified.
Notes: processed wood, bows, crossbows, arrows, wooden staves, novelty chairs. Bowman is the obvious customer. Other jobs may stop at “can make wood.” Chair collectors will over-level this; that is a hobby, not a DPS plan.
Notes: processed leather, archer/thief gloves and boots, a tradable chair in one recap. Other jobs may only need the lowest rank to process hides. Do not farm a leather tree because a GMS thief guide said so.
Notes: gems, magician wands/staves, and 100% scrolls unless a scroll catalyst is involved. Unlock pin in recaps: Sleepywood (NPC name Unverified). Gems also show up on quest lists. Scroll crafts were called expensive in tests — do not mass-produce scrolls you will not slot.
Community recaps: walk to the station in town, talk to the profession NPC beside it, finish a small quest, then the table recipes for that type open. One recap claimed all six were unlockable around the mid-teens — Unverified. You still need the character level to rank a profession if a gate exists; wasting materials into a 100% EXP bar that will not rank is the usual mistake.
Order vs story: leave Maple Island first (beginner guide). Lith Harbor / job towns are where stations are rumored; Sleepywood is the Arcforge rumor. Capture will pin the exact maps. Until then, ask in Discord for the live NPC, not for a Google Doc of 2008 recipes.

Community planning notes (test wiki, subject to change) sketch a lean, not a mandate: Warrior → Smithing (and Weaponcrafting only if the weapon type matches). Magician → Arcforge + Tailoring. Bowman → Woodcrafting + Leatherworking. Thief / Assassin → Weaponcrafting + Leatherworking. Everyone still wants some Smithing and Arcforge if ingots and gems are quest items. That paragraph is Unverified. Your classes page does not require a craft to take first job.
Skip maxing the four professions your job does not wear. The table is a time sink. A Founder’s week is better spent on leveling maps and not dying on bosses than on capping Tailoring as a Warrior because a spreadsheet had a cape at rank 7.
Planning docs list crafting catalysts as a Classic World extra: categories such as one-hand weapon, two-hand weapon, armor, and scroll catalysts. That is a field list, not a drop table. Community notes have pointed at a mid-level Arcforge quest and at Zombie Mushmom as possible scroll-catalyst sources — Unverified, not a farm route, and not a reason to camp a launch boss.
Until the live UI shows a catalyst slot, do not buy “catalyst bundles” from Free Market strangers. Do not import Maker crystals from modern GMS. If the client has no catalyst pane, you do not have catalysts.
Sometimes no. Test recaps NPC’d a finished hat for less than the Mesos plus ETCs that went in. Price the output on the NPC and in Free Market before you mass-craft. Processing ores into ingots can still be worth it if a quest or another recipe eats the ingot. Crafting a named weapon for yourself can be worth it if the shop equivalent is worse or missing.
Profit is not “I watched a video titled crafting money.” Profit is output Mesos ≥ input Mesos + time. Time includes the hunt for pig ribbons and hog ETCs. If leveling Mesos per hour is higher, train. If a party needs you on Mushmom, go — bosses do not wait on a cloth queue.
No. Do not paste modern GMS, reboot, or private-server Maker lists into a Classic World session. Item names overlap; ingredient counts, success rules, and even whether the item exists do not. This page’s recipe column is TBA on purpose. When a live table screenshot exists, we will fill that row, not a 2010 hidden-street craft.
If a friend dumps a Google Sheet titled “OSMS crafts,” treat it as fan notes. Check the station. If the station lacks the recipe, the sheet is wrong for this world.
Block forty minutes after you have a first job and a town you can return to. Minute 0–5: find one station and the NPC beside it. If you cannot find it, you are not ready — keep questing. Minute 5–15: finish one unlock quest. Do not start six hunts in parallel. Minute 15–25: process the junk already in your ETC tab (ore, cloth mats, wood) instead of buying mats. Minute 25–35: craft one item your job can wear or a quest actually asked for. Minute 35–40: NPC the result, write down whether you lost Mesos, and stop.
If you only have ten minutes, do the unlock quest and leave. A half-filled material pile with no unlock is how people vendor unique ETCs. If you have a long Victoria night, still cap the session at two professions. Arcforge can wait until you can walk Sleepywood without dying.
Worked example: you are a 20 Warrior with copper ore and no cloth. Smithing is the click. Tailoring is not. You do not need a red hat from a test video. You need ingots if a quest asks, or you need to go train. Another example: you are a Magician who heard Arcforge makes scrolls. Scrolls in notes were pricey. Make a gem for a quest first. Do not blow 10k-class Mesos (figure Unverified) on a scroll you will not use before 30.
Chairs, named gear, and fame-locked looks are optional. They are not the beginner guide. When the live UI disagrees with this page, the UI wins and we mark the row. No fake glance art for a table we have not screenshotted in production yet.
